Welcome!

Welcome to Aspen Quilt Studio (formerly Karen’s Kreative Quilting).  Working from Arvada, CO on my Gammil Optimum Long Arm Quilting Machine, my goal is to help you finish all of those quilt tops piling up in your closet!  We all know that the fun part of quilting is the hunt for the fabric, designing the quilt and piecing together the quilt top.  The not so fun part is the actual quilting process itself!  If you have ever tried to quilt a large quilt you know that it is like trying to wrestle an alligator.  I love the quilting process (with a long arm machine) and seeing the finished quilt. 

Originally I opened up my business in Arlington, Texas and have quilted for the public for the last seven years.  Nine months ago I moved back to my home state of Colorado, and have reopened my quilting business.  It has taken a long time to get back to Colorado, but I love it here!  Only wish I had moved here sooner!

Being fortunate to learn from one of the best longarm quilters, Linda Taylor, I am constantly updating my quilting skills by attending seminars and workshops. As well as quilting for the public, I have also taught many classes in machine quilting on a table top machine and I am also working on becoming a certified quilting judge.

Many of my customers have shown their quilts in local quilt shows and have done very well.  I have been fortunate enough to have quilted 4 Best of Show Winning Quilts (one of which was my own) and many, many  numerous other ribbon winners.  (These quilts may be seen on the photo page of this web site.)
